Congratulations to team BeefBroth from Eastern Michigan University for taking home first place and 5 Offensive Security training vouchers worth over $700 each.
The Security Practices and Research Student Association at RIT is excited to announce the 9th annual Information Security Talent Search (ISTS)!
Save the date: this year’s competition will be held March 30th,31st and April 1st at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Early Bird registration opens October 31st so make sure to get your teams together!
ISTS9 steps up the game from last year, using the new format for the competition derived from previous ISTS competitions. This competition challenges the best security minded college students to a grueling 2 day competition at RIT. As a competitor, you are tasked with securing and operating a network infrastructure in one of the most hostile digital arenas that you can imagine. You will be scored not only on how well you can secure your own infrastructure, but also on your ability to exploit weaknesses in the other teams and to complete challenges for points. Your skills will be tested in many areas, including system administration, network and system security, penetration testing, binary analysis, and cryptography.
The competition is limited to 15 teams this year, so register now to secure your spot.
Stay tuned to this website for information about the competition and registration as it comes out. We hope to see you at this year’s competition!
